This article describes how to set up the Cerby iOS app for the first time using the guided onboarding flow.
Who can use this feature?
Workspace Owners, Super Admins, Admins, Users, Login-Only, and Guest Users
Supported using the Cerby iOS app (iOS 16.0 and later)
When you log in to the Cerby iOS app for the first time, you complete a guided onboarding flow. The flow walks you through turning on autofill, setting up a trusted device, turning on biometric unlock, and enabling push notifications. You can select Maybe later on any step to skip it.
Requirements
This procedure requires the following:
An invitation to a Cerby workspace, sent by your IT admin or workspace Owner
An iPhone or iPad running iOS 16.0 or later
The Cerby app installed from the App Store
Set up the Cerby iOS app
To complete the iOS onboarding flow, complete the following steps:
Log in to your Cerby workspace using the Cerby iOS app. The onboarding flow starts, and the Turn on Autofill page is displayed.
Select Turn on now to allow Cerby to autofill accounts and passwords for you on mobile websites or apps, or select Maybe later to skip this step. The Set up a trusted device page is displayed.
NOTE: Selecting Turn on now always opens a prompt to complete autofill setup in your device Settings app, under Passwords > Autofill Passwords. Select Open Settings in the prompt to continue, or select Cancel to remain on this step.
Select Set up now to register this device as trusted and strengthen your account security, or select Maybe later to skip this step. When setup is complete, the Turn on biometrics to unlock Cerby page is displayed.
Select Turn on now to unlock Cerby with Face ID or Touch ID, or select Maybe later to skip this step. The Enable notifications page is displayed.
NOTE: If your device has no biometrics enrolled, Cerby displays a message and moves to the next step. You can enroll biometrics in your device Settings app and return to this setting later from Profile > Security.
Select Allow notifications to turn on push notifications for account and MFA activity, or select Maybe later to skip this step. The onboarding flow is complete, and the Cerby app home screen is displayed.
If Cerby cannot turn on notifications directly from the app, it prompts you to complete the change in your device Settings app, under Cerby > Notifications.
