# View a secret

{% hint style="info" %}
**Who can use this feature?**

* Workspace **Owners**, **Super** **Admins**, **Admins**, and **Users**
* Secret **Owners** and **Collaborators**
  {% endhint %}

Any user who created a secret or was granted access to one can view the secret details in the Cerby mobile app, regardless of workspace role.

To view a secret using the Cerby mobile app, you must complete the following steps:

1. Open the Cerby mobile app.
2. Log in to your corresponding workspace using the Cerby mobile app.
3. Activate the **Secrets** tab located at the top of the screen. All your saved and shared secrets are displayed.
4. Tap the corresponding secret card. The secret details screen displays the content of the secret and its attachments.\
   **NOTE:** If an identity challenge is configured, the following occurs:
   * If the [**Set as primary MFA device**](/cerby-mobile-app/app-customization/turn-on-the-set-as-primary-mfa-device-feature.md) setting is turned on, the biometric verification is activated, and you can access the secret.
   * If you don’t have the **Set as primary MFA device** setting turned on or the biometric verification fails, the **Confirm your identity** screen is displayed. To confirm your identity:
     1. Click the **Send email** button. You receive an email.
     2. Click the **Confirm identity** button. A browser page is displayed to confirm your identity.
     3. Return to the Cerby mobile app, which displays the secret.
5. Tap the **More options** (...) icon in the **Secret** field. A menu is displayed.
6. Select the **Reveal** option to show the content of the secret item.

Now, you're done.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.cerby.com/cerby-mobile-app/secrets/managing-your-secrets/view-a-secret.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
