# Add a secret to a collection

* Workspace **Owners**, **Super Admins**, **Admins**, **Users**, and **Guest Users**
* Collection and secret **Owners**
* Only supported using the Cerby web app

As a collection and secret **Owner**, you can add a secret to an existing collection. With this action, all workspace members and teams who already have shared access to the collection are automatically granted access to the secret with the collection-level role.

In Cerby, you can add accounts to collections in the following two ways:

* [Add one secret to a collection](#add-one-secret-to-a-collection)
* [Add multiple secrets to a collection](#add-multiple-secrets-to-a-collection)

The following sections describe each way.

## Add one secret to a collection

To add a secret to a collection, you must complete the following steps using the Cerby web app:

1. Log in to your [Cerby](https://app.cerby.com/) workspace.
2. Select the **Secrets** option from the left menu. The **Secrets** page is displayed.
3. Click the **More options** (...) icon of the corresponding secret card. A drop-down menu is displayed.
4. Select the **Add to Collection** option from the menu. The **Add to collection** dialog box is displayed with a list of collections and subcollections.
5. Select the corresponding collection from the list or look it up using the search bar. **NOTE:** You can create a new collection with the secret preselected in the wizard by clicking the **Create new collection** button. You must complete the steps of the wizard according to the article [Create a collection](/cerby-web-app/collections/managing-your-collections/create-a-collection.md).
6. Click the **Add to collection** button. The dialog box closes, and a success message box is displayed.

## Add multiple secrets to a collection

To add multiple secrets to a collection, you must complete the following steps using the Cerby web app:

1. Log in to your [Cerby](https://app.cerby.com/) workspace.
2. Select the **Collections** option from the left menu. The **Collections** page is displayed.
3. Click the **Settings** icon of the corresponding collection card. The collection details page is displayed with the **General** tab activated.
4. Activate the **Secrets** tab.
5. Click the **Manage secrets** button. The **Add secrets to collection** dialog box is displayed.
6. Click the **Add** icon of the secret you want to add to your collection. The secret is added to a list in the **Selected secrets** section. **TIP:** You can use the search bar to look for specific secrets in the **All secrets** section.
7. Repeat step 6 as necessary.
8. Click the **Done** button. The dialog box closes, and a success message and the selected secrets are displayed in the **Secrets** tab.
