Update the passkey of an account using the Cerby mobile app

This article describes how to update the passkey of an account using the Cerby mobile app.

Who can use this feature?

  • Workspace Owners, Super Admins, Admins, and Users

  • Account Owners

  • Only supported using the Cerby mobile app

To update the passkey of an account using the Cerby mobile app, you must complete the next steps:

  1. Log in to the app with the account to which you want to update the passkey.

  2. Access the account login and authentication settings within the app.

  3. Select the passkeys option.

    NOTE: You might need to enter your password to access the list of existing passkeys.

  4. Complete the corresponding steps to update the passkey:

    • Add a new passkey if the app supports it.

    • Edit the existing passkey.

    • Remove the old passkey before adding a new one.

  5. A menu is displayed with the list of passkey managers on your phone.

  6. Select the Cerby option.

  7. Tap the Continue button. Biometric verification, face ID or touch ID on iOS, and face lock or fingerprint recognition on Android is activated. The Update existing item screen is displayed.

  8. Select the account to update the passkey in the Update existing account section.

  9. Tap the Save option. A success message is displayed on the screen.

Now you are done.
