Cerby is an access management platform that mitigates the risks of using nonstandard or unmanageable apps. Automating critical security hygiene tasks—which are often left undone—is an essential part of our solution.

Unlike other cybersecurity platforms, Cerby goes beyond storing login credentials. In addition to sharing access securely, we have built app-specific automation workflows to help you comply with security policies and reduce exposure to cyber-attacks.

This article contains the list of apps and automation workflows we currently support as part of the Cerby Automate product. We update the list every time our development team releases a new workflow or feature. If you want us to work on a specific app, contact us at support@cerby.com.

Our automation workflows can be divided according to the Cerby client you use and the integrations and configurations with third parties:

The following sections detail each automation workflow.

Cerby web app and browser extension

With the Cerby web app, you can trigger the automation workflows, and the Cerby browser extension performs them for you, whether in front of you or in the background.

The following are the available automation workflows:

  • Log in: You can automatically log in to the app from Cerby.

  • Turn on or off 2FA: You can automatically turn on or off two-factor authentication (2FA) for an account from Cerby. When turning on 2FA, you can also store the secret key for authentication in Cerby.

  • Check 2FA status: You can automatically verify if 2FA is still active and has the correct secret key.

  • Swap email: You can change the current email registered in their accounts for a Cerby-managed email.

  • Swap phone: You can change the current phone number registered in their accounts for a Cerby-managed phone number.

  • Rotate password: You can automatically rotate passwords from Cerby for an account with a Cerby-generated password.

Table 1 shows the list of supported apps and automation workflows.

Table 1. Supported apps and automation workflows

Cerby mobile app

With the Cerby mobile app, you can perform the Log in automation workflow to access your apps by using Cerby as a password manager extension.

This feature is available for all the accounts you have added to Cerby. autofill your username and password in the corresponding fields when you log in to your iOS and Android apps.

User provisioning

User provisioning is a workflow with third parties that enables you to automatically create and remove access to your app accounts in two ways:

The following sections detail each option.

Integration with your identity provider (IdP)

You can automatically create and remove access to users by configuring a user provisioning integration between Cerby and your IdP using the System for Cross-Domain Identity Management (SCIM) standard.

User creation and removal initiate from two sides:

  • You can use Cerby to auto-create and remove access to users. These actions can be initiated from your corporate directory in your IDP through to the applications managed by Cerby.

  • You can create and remove access to users in the corporate directory you manage through your IDP, and these actions propagate to Cerby.

Currently, Cerby supports integrations with the following IdPs:

Integration with paid social apps

You can automatically create and remove user access by configuring an API- and robotic process automation (RPA)-based integration between Cerby and the paid social app you use to manage your social media accounts.

User creation and removal initiate from two sides:

  • You can create and remove access to users in your business center, and these actions propagate to Cerby.

  • You can create and remove access to users in the corporate directory you manage through your IDP, and these actions propagate to the business center through Cerby.

Currently, Cerby supports connections with the following business centers:

For more information, read the Why managing your social media apps through Cerby article.

Connection with seat-based apps via Tenants

You can automatically create and remove access to users by configuring an API- or RPA (robotic process automation)-based connection between Cerby and the tenant you use to manage collaboration spaces and users.

We define tenants as apps where each user has login credentials instead of one account shared with multiple users. Also, users belong to collaboration spaces (such as workspaces, teams, and dashboards) with different roles and permissions, and they have admins who manage their access.

User creation and removal initiate from three sides:

  • You can create and remove access to users in your tenant, and these actions propagate to Cerby.

  • You can invite current workspace members from Cerby to join the tenant and connect their profile account to Cerby.

  • You can create and remove access to users in the corporate directory you manage through your IDP, and these actions propagate to Cerby.

Currently, Cerby supports connections with the following tenants:
