Remove user access to a collection

This article describes how to remove user access to your collections.

Who can use this feature?

  • Workspace Owners, Super Admins, Admins, Users, and Guest Users

  • Collection Owners

  • Supported using the Cerby web app and mobile app

As a collection Owner, you can remove user access to your accounts using the following Cerby client apps:

The following sections describe the removal process using each client app.


Cerby web app

To remove user access to a collection, you must complete the following steps using the Cerby web app:

  1. Log in to your corresponding Cerby workspace.

  2. Select the Collections option from the left navigation drawer. The Collections view is displayed.

  3. Click the Settings () icon of the corresponding collection card. The collection details page is displayed with the General tab activated.

  4. Activate the Members tab. The User Overview section is displayed with a table of users who have shared access to the collection.

  5. Click the More options () icon of the corresponding user. A drop-down list is displayed.

  6. Select the Remove from this Collection option. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  7. Click the Remove from Collection button. The dialog box closes, and a success message box is displayed.

Now you are done.


Cerby mobile app

To remove user access to a collection, you must complete the following steps using the Cerby web app:

  1. Open the Cerby mobile app.

  2. Log in to your Cerby workspace.

  3. Tap the Collections button from the navigation bar. A drop-down list of collections is displayed.

  4. Tap the corresponding collection card. A screen is displayed with the list of items inside the collection.

  5. Tap the Settings icon located at the top right of the screen. The collection details screen is displayed.

  6. Tap the right arrow icon from the Members list within the Sharing section. The View members screen on Android or Members screen on iOS is displayed.

  7. Select the corresponding member from the list. A drop-down menu is displayed at the bottom.

  8. Select the Remove access option.

    • The Remove member access screen is displayed on Android.

    • The Remove <user> from sharing list? dialog box is displayed on iOS.

  9. Tap the Remove member button on Android or the Remove button on iOS. The screen closes, and a success message box is displayed.
