Manage a local partner’s guest members

This article describes how to manage the guest members of a local partner in your Cerby workspace.

Who can use this feature?

  • Host Admins and Guest Admins of a local partner

  • Available to Cerby Automate

  • Only supported using the Cerby web app

As a Host Admin or Guest Admin, you can perform the following management tasks on the guest members of a local partner in your Cerby workspace:

The following sections describe each task.


Assign a Host Admin to a local partner

As a Host Admin of a local partner, you can assign one or multiple Host Admins. To do so, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to your corresponding Cerby workspace.

  2. Select the Partners option from the left navigation drawer. The Partners view is displayed.

  3. Select the corresponding local partner.

  4. Click the More options (...) icon located at the top-right side of the partner’s information. A drop-down list is displayed.

  5. Select the Assign partnership host option. The Assign partnership host dialog box is displayed.

  6. Enter the name or email address of the member you want to assign as a Host Admin in the Assign a Partnership Host field. The users that match the name are displayed on a list.

  7. Select the corresponding member from the list.

  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 as necessary to assign multiple Admin Hosts.

  9. Click the Send Invite button. The dialog box closes, and a success message box confirms the user has been invited to the workspace.

Now, you are done. You have successfully assigned a Host Admin to your local partner in your Cerby workspace.


Invite a Guest User to a local partner

As a Host Admin or Guest Admin of a local partner, you can invite one or multiple Guest Users to your workspace. To do so, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to your corresponding Cerby workspace.

  2. Select the Partners option from the left navigation drawer. The Partners view is displayed.

  3. Select the corresponding local partner.

  4. Click the More options (...) icon located at the top-right side of the partner’s information. A drop-down list is displayed.

  5. Select the Invite guest users option. The Invite guest user dialog box is displayed.

  6. Enter the guest user’s email address in the Email field.
    NOTE: Remember that Guest Users can only see and receive access to items shared by item owners.

  7. Click the Send Invite button. The dialog box closes, and a success message box is displayed.

Now you are done. The guest user must accept the invitation through their email.


Update a guest member's role in a local partner

As a Host Admin or Guest Admin of a local partner, you can update a guest member’s role. As a Guest Admin, you can downgrade your role to Guest User.

To update a guest member’s role, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to your corresponding Cerby workspace.

  2. Select the Partners option from the left navigation drawer. The Partners view is displayed.

  3. Select the corresponding local partner.

  4. Activate the Members tab under the partner’s information. The partner’s members and their roles are displayed.

  5. Click the role next to the name of the user you want to update.

  6. Select the new role. A success message box is displayed, indicating that the role has been changed.

Now you are done. The guest member’s role has been updated with a new role.


See a local partner’s guest member’s information

As a Host Admin or Guest Admin of a local partner, you can see a guest member’s information. To do so, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to your corresponding Cerby workspace.

  2. Select the Partners option from the left navigation drawer. The Partners view is displayed.

  3. Select the corresponding local partner.

  4. Activate the Members tab under the partner’s information. The partner’s members and their roles are displayed.

  5. Hover over the user’s information to see the More options () icon on the right side.

  6. Click the More options (...) icon. A drop-down list is displayed.

  7. Select the View details option. The guest’s information is displayed on the page.

Now you are done. You can see the guest’s information, including joined date, email, role, accounts, and teams.


Remove a guest member from a local partner

As a Host Admin or Guest Admin of a local partner, you can remove a Guest Admin or Guest User. As a Guest Admin, you can remove yourself.

To remove a guest member from the local partner, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to your corresponding Cerby workspace.

  2. Select the Partners option from the left navigation drawer. The Partners view is displayed.

  3. Select the corresponding local partner.

  4. Activate the Members tab under the partner’s information. The guest members and their roles are displayed.

  5. Hover over the user’s information to see the More options () icon on the right side.

  6. Click the More options (...) icon. A drop-down list is displayed.

  7. Select the Remove option. The Remove user? dialog box is displayed.

  8. Click the Remove user button. The dialog box closes, and a success message box is displayed.
